Hello!

I don't really know where I'm going with this. Don't expect anything cohesive as I mostly intend this to be a personal project. It might go somewhere or it might not. Right now I just have a lot of thoughts that need a platform. It doesn't really matter to me if anyone actually reads any of this actually. I just wanted something that is wholly mine.

This means that there is going to be a lot of personal stuff on this blog. I don't really know what that will end up being fully though I suspect it will be a lot of things that I struggle to talk about in person. Using this medium I hope to be able to talk or formulate my thoughts in a way I don't think I could in a diary. I need the possibility of publicity even if it isn't seen. I hope that this will help me work through my life in a way that is somewhat creative. I also want to use this as a platform to share art, though I don't consider myself much of an artist I've been told that it is important. I used to write poetry so maybe you'll see that.

To give a little bit of a self introduction, my name is Penny. I am currently a junior at the University of Minnesota. I love being outdoors and spending time baking (and getting baked). I find joy in the gratitude I receive from giving out baked goods. I spend a lot of time with my friends and I consider myself an extrovert. I love to watch movies and drink shitty beer. I especially love the music scene in Minneapolis and the wonderful people I have met here.

Today is actually somewhat of a special day to me. It is my 2 year HRT anniversary! Even though the date is literally tattooed on my skin I still almost forgot. My transition as a whole has been somewhat bittersweet and this day comes with a lot less celebration than I think it deserves.

To wrap up this first post, I would like to again say that there might not be any recurring themes and I am still figuring things out. I tend to ramble a lot and so my posts might be long and rambly. I might get better with that as time goes on. Expect more soon,

thanks for reading :)

Penny
